CLEVELAND, OH- Dare 2 Care: Unite Against Bullying Performing Arts & Fashion Gala, will be held at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral Astrodome on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. The May Day Gay Day evening is a call to action, a shout out to the Cleveland community that our young people are at significant risk from bullying and that we all share the responsibility of ensuring they do not have to live in fear. We are calling on those who are "Living the Change" to come and show support. The live runway show, hosted by Project Runway's All Star and Season 9 Finalist Joshua McKinley features unique Cleveland boutiques and designers. Performers include X Factor Finalist Jason Brock, London's own Georgey & Sofie of the L Project singing their original song, "It Does Get Better", a hip-hop dance suite presented by Kevin Marr and students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, and a Broadway vocal performance by Joan Ellison and students from Baldwin Wallace and the Cleveland Institute of Music. GhostLight Productions President and COO, David Shimp, has been tapped for the second time for this event to ensure that all of the magnificent entertainers are seen and heard beautifully by crafting the perfect sound and video presentation. "We are honored to be a Platinum Sponsor for this event and bring our unique brand of audio and visual professionalism to such a wonderful show", said Shimp and "working with all of the talented and caring stake-holders from the local LGBTS community toward a night of acceptance and inclusion- is a personal highlight".
