02/28/2013 GhostLight Productions Wins BIG at 6th Annual Connectors Choice Awards
CLEVELAND, OH- GhostLight Principals, Deborah Hermann and David Shimp, brought home TWO Connectors Choice Awards at a ceremony held last night at The Galleria at Erieview. Hermann continued to dominate the industry. Last year's national event producer of the year, according to Event Solutions magazine, retained her CCA "Corporate Event Planner of the Year" crown. And GhostLight Productions, David Shimp, President and COO earned "Event Production Company of the Year" accolades. This duo combined to win the top two awards as presented by Cleveland Business Connects magazine. "Having been a finalist in the event production company of the year category for the past 5 years, it is especially gratifying to bring home the title this time and Deb's fifth nomination and third consecutive win as corporate event planner of the year, validates our hard work and dedication to our clients", says David Shimp. "We are honored and thrilled to be recognized!" In front of a record-high 550 attendees inside the Galleria at Erieview downtown, a total of 25 Connectors Choice Awards were presented- 20 specific to corporate event planning and 5 specific to professional networking.
The 125 finalists were determined entirely by the online voting of the general population between October 16 and December 2, 2012. Just more than 8,000 ballots were presented. The finalists were asked for written submissions and references to be reviewed by the CCA judges, one per category. The judges include:

-Marianne Franz, President, American Wine School
-Scott David Kuhn, Restaurateur/Chef
-Stephanie Ricca, Editor-in-Chief, Hotel Management Questex Media Group
